?Are my pages flattened into images when I reorder them?
No. The thumbnails you drag are PDF.js canvas renders used only so you can see what you’re moving. When you hit Save, the tool sends your original file bytes back to the server along with the order you arrived at, and the backend copies the original vector page objects into the new file — text stays selectable and images stay at source resolution.
?Can I pull pages from two different PDFs into one reordered file?
Yes. Upload more than one PDF and a file list appears in the sidebar with its own drag handle, separate from the page grid. Drag files to set which document's pages come first, then drag individual page thumbnails across that boundary — the export merges everything into a single PDF in whatever order the grid shows.
?What actually happens when I click rotate on a page?
The thumbnail spins 90 degrees in the browser so you can preview the change, and that rotation value travels with the page's entry in the order you're building. On export, the server applies it as the page's rotation setting rather than redrawing the content, so a landscape scan turns upright without a quality loss from re-rendering.
?Is the blank page I add a real PDF page or just a gray box?
It's a placeholder in the grid until export, then it becomes an actual empty page added to the output document — not a screenshot of white space. Use it to separate exhibits or sections before you download.
?If I mess up the order, does Reset re-upload my file?
No re-upload needed. The tool remembers the order each file's pages arrived in when you first added it, so Reset just snaps the grid back to that original per-file sequence and drops any blank pages you'd inserted, without touching your browser tab or the source file again.
?Will my bookmarks or internal links still point to the right pages?
Not automatically. The export renumbers pages based on your new sequence, but a PDF's outline (bookmarks) and internal links reference page positions that existed before you dragged anything — check navigation after downloading if the source file relied heavily on a table of contents or cross-references.
