Sign PDF opens your file in a full page editor, not a single signature box. Draw with a mouse or finger, type your name in one of six fonts, or drop in an uploaded image — then add initials and a date stamp anywhere across a multi-page document.
Every mark you place is its own draggable, resizable annotation. A five-page NDA can carry a signature on page 1, initials on pages 2 through 4, and a date on the last page, all in one pass using the page-thumbnail strip to jump around.
Saving doesn't flatten the page into a picture. Your file and the full list of annotations go to the server once, where each mark is written back in as a real signature or text object — not a screenshot pasted on top.

?What's actually different between drawing, typing, and uploading a signature?
Drawing and uploading both end up as an image placed on the page; typing renders your name as real text in a chosen font instead of a picture of text. Draw mode turns your pointer or touch strokes into a transparent PNG the moment you insert them. Type mode stores your typed name or initials as plain text plus a font and color, so it's rendered as an actual text object. Upload mode reads a local image file for stamps, letterhead marks, or a scanned wet-ink signature.
?Does my signature become a flat image over the PDF, or part of the file itself?
It's written into the page itself, not pasted on top as a flattened screenshot. Saving sends your original PDF plus the list of annotations you placed to the server, which writes each one directly into that page's content — real text for typed entries, an embedded image for drawn or uploaded marks. Everything else on the page stays untouched.
?Can I move a signature after I've already placed it on the page?
Yes — every mark is an independent, draggable, resizable box until you save. Position is tracked in true PDF coordinates, so a signature you nudge on a zoomed-in phone screen lands in the same spot when the file is later opened at 100% in Acrobat.
?How does the date stamp choose its format?
It pulls today's date from your device and applies whichever of the eight formats you last picked — including MM/DD/YYYY, ISO YYYY-MM-DD, and abbreviated-month styles. It's a plain text mark, so you can still edit it afterward like any other annotation, not a locked timestamp.
?Is this the same as a legally binding digital signature?
No — and it's worth being direct about that. What lands on the page is a visual signature (drawn strokes, typed text, or an image), not a PKI certificate-based digital signature with its own validation chain. That's the right fit for offer letters, internal approvals, and low-risk vendor forms. Contracts that need a certified audit trail or identity verification belong on a dedicated e-signature or CLM platform instead.
?Does signing work on scanned, image-only PDF pages?
Yes. Signing draws on top of whatever renders for that page, whether it's a scanned bitmap or a born-digital page with selectable text. It doesn't run OCR, so it won't make the scan's existing text searchable — it just adds your signature to it.
